Wheat is a very important cereal crop for us, and its improvement is necessary to meet the increasing demands for high quality food produced in an environmentally sustainable manner. To facilitate the wheat production, the genetic improvements holds the key, and for that we need the highly accurate genome sequence.
Komugi GSP (Genome Sequence Program) is a genome analysis program of wheat in Japan, and now we are challenging the genome sequencing of wheat chromosome 6B in collaboration with the members of IWGSC (International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium).
On this web site you can find novels of our activities for the wheat genome analysis such as published manuscripts, presentations in conferences/meetings, and also you can access to our data including the genome sequences, transcriptomes, annotation data.
